MrBeast has been an achiever for the entirety of his YouTube career. And most know him as the youngest ever to have crossed 100 million subscribers on the platform. But a recent YouTube short disclosed an amazing unknown fact that was never thought of.

As the fifth largest YouTube creator to get the Red Diamond Play Button for his 100 million subscribers, MrBeast received his memento before anyone else did. Here’s how MrBeast got his 100 million subscribers Play Button before even crossing it. And how he used it in a very special video.

In a recent YouTube short by Jack Massey Welsh, he revealed that the millionaire YouTuber MrBeast actually received his Red Diamond Play Button before crossing the 100 million subscribers mark.

This can be a shocker to many, but the fact that MrBeast is not just any creator says a lot about the situation. For starters, he has been the fastest growing channel since 2020 and it was predicted then only by many that he might someday replace PewDiePie as the ‘King of YouTube’.

Secondly, he has been uploading videos on his other channels as well. Thus, combining those numbers, he could have crossed the 100 million mark long before actually crossing it on his main channel.

Why did Jimmy receive his play button before time?

Another aspect of this can be the fact that YouTube was very confident that MrBeast will cross the mark before time and thus gave him the Play Button for his “I Gave My 100,000,000th Subscriber An Island”. This was revealed in the YouTube short that he got that play button when he only had  97,300,000 subs approx.

In one of his interviews with Samir and Colin, MrBeast revealed that he has always been very effective with YouTube intros and is obsessed with them. This is because he thinks that the first few seconds of the video are the hook and anyone watching his videos will stay in that video because of that hook only.

This strategy was also revealed by his manager Reed Duchscher in another interview. Thus, it was bound to happen at some point or the other that the star content creator will get an outcome for his genius. Which in this case was the Red Play Button gifted to him before time by YouTube.
