Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios have stressed a lot on the future of gaming with the Xbox console line-up going forward. Not just consoles, though, they want to extend the accessibility of playing popular titles from anywhere. And streaming is one option that can be a big factor in making it possible.

Now it seems like the plans for streaming are already going in full force at Microsoft. At least that’s what a viral tweet from Phil Spencer has suggested on social media. Ever since he posted an image on his account, a mysterious device has been making rounds on the internet, with many outlets claiming it’s the next big Xbox streaming console.

The head of Microsoft Gaming for Xbox has a habit of showing off his shelf filled with interesting items. So far, he has indirectly teased a lot of new games and announcements in a unique way. And this time, too, it looks like Mr. Spencer may have just confirmed a brand new console, which might be on its way soon.

Bethesda is currently celebrating 25 years of the Fallout franchise. And now that Bethesda is owned by Microsoft, Phil Spencer took to Twitter to post an image, showing his shelf having lots of Fallout-based products, including some Vault Boy figures. But one item, in particular, managed to attract every gaming nerd’s attention very quickly.

A small, white box on top of the shelf can be seen very clearly in the image. Ever since the picture became viral on social media, many insiders and even reputed outlets have claimed that it’s, in fact, the Xbox streaming console called Keystone.

This claim can’t be denied as well, given the fact that the official Xbox account on Twitter also replied to Phil’s tweet. Have a look at it below:

Xbox’s account mentioned that the rumored streaming console, in the picture, is an “old prototype”. Which implies that the final product will be different from the one visible in Spencer’s tweet.

Moreover, The Verge‘s Tom Warren has already shared details on the small white device. According to him, it’s the streaming console Keystone, which looks like the Series S. He also revealed that Keystone will be a “box or puck-like device that attaches to monitors and TVs.” Furthermore, it will also have options to access media apps like Netflix while also having a lightweight UI to launch the Xbox games.
