And this time, its developers might end up giving lengthy clarifications online. Because an eagle-eyed Call of Duty fan has noticed that the post-apocalyptic open-world MMO may have copied a famous Zombies trailer for a very iconic game from Activision.
If anyone missed keeping track of events, The Day Before recently dropped its new gameplay trailer. Well, it was attractive to many viewers, and some couldn’t help but question its originality. Especially when it comes to making comparisons with popular games in the market. One fan, in particular, tried to dig deeper, and according to them, The Day Before’s latest trailer is highly copied from Treyarch’s 2020 Call of Duty entry, which is none other than Black Ops Cold War.

A Twitter user named Chroma recently dropped some images, comparing the gameplay trailer of Fntastic’s awaited 2023 title with Black Ops Cold War Zombies. At first, everything seems normal, but upon noticing the details side-by-side, anyone will end up assuming Fntastic to be involved in a situation relating to plagiarism.

Chroma revealed a very transparent comparison between both the games’ trailers. As one can see, the most highlighted scenes from The Day Before’s gameplay clip resemble certain angles shown in the Zombies reveal trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. This is not the first instance of The Day Before coming under the radar. Previously, there have been reports of it being a copy of Naughty Dog’s celebrated The Last of Us franchise in more ways than one.
