However, following the recent craze of PC games, fans are expecting this video game developing giant to release some of PC exclusive games as well.
Although Nintendo expanded its venture on the mobile platform with projects like Pokémon Go in recent years, they haven’t announced any upcoming PC-exclusive projects yet. While fans think Nintendo only ventured into Switch-exclusive games, this stalwart company already published some games for PC users in the 1990s.

That’s why these games were interactive and fun with the gameplay combined with learning elements. One of Nintendo’s most popular edutainment games was Mario Teaches Typing, which helped users to learn typing through various challenges and exercises. Set in a fictional Mario-themed environment, this game was one of the PC exclusives of Nintendo.
The next one on the list is Mario’s Early Years. This game offered children to know about colors, shapes, numbers, and letters through simple interactive activities. Although it was for kids solely, the game itself made children more interested to learn through exciting gameplay. Mario’s Time Machine is another PC exclusive by Nintendo. This game offered players the to travel with Mario and solve puzzles based on historical figures, learnings, artifacts and events.
Nintendo’s future plans for PC games
Nintendo’s PC-exclusive games in the 1990s weren’t as successful as the Switch-exclusive games. Nevertheless, it showed a promising future for the company in PC games as well. Fans loved these edutainment games and found them truly helpful. But Nintendo hasn’t announced any PC projects yet for the upcoming years. Following the bloom in the PC gaming industry, this video game publishing giant might consider venturing into the market once again. But for now, this company seemed satisfied with its brilliant success with the Switch.
