Destiny 2 showcases its first look of the Witch Queen Expansion! Bungie reveals massive plans for their 30th anniversary for their MMORPG: Destiny 2. The wait is finally over, as after years of the game’s official launch, players finally witness the arrival of the Queen.

The fourth major expansion of the title comes out on February 22, 2022 along with a new story, destinations and other features. As the Season of the Lost goes live today, the livestream also revealed Destiny’s Gjallarhorn will be coming to the game in December as a part of the anniversary pack. But Destiny 2 community couldn’t say enough about the Witch Queen as they took to Twitter to react.

Destiny 2: What people thought of The Queen

The Queen was initially announced at Destiny Content Vault; Bungie made the community wait for the Witch Queen for more than a year, but it looks like it all paid off. The developers revealed that the arc will add at least one major location to Savathun’s Throneworld, along with a new weapon crafting system. The future of of the title looks promising with all the new additions.

Although the expansion was further delayed, the intricate details and effort by Bungie into the Witch Queen expansion left users speechless.

The story of the Queen follows the Guardians after their interaction with Savathun. The mysterious character who largely keeps away from the limelight has been played a key role in the game’s development. Nevertheless, some community members did not forget about the Guardians and dish out memes about the Witch Queen.

The end of the Season of the Lost will pave the way for the Queen’s return to the game. Many community members joke about the arc being a make-or-break for the Destiny 2, a lot of them were left wanting for more by the end of the livestream.

What’s more interesting is that Season of the Witch Queen will provide an for cross-play and cross-save from the time of launch. The title will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
