To take strict action against all the toxic scenarios, Call of Duty has been implementing some serious measures. Under this, many accounts of cheaters or those who were found offensive have been banned. To make it more clear, the makers recently shared the data regarding their initiative of removing the toxic player base.
Call of Duty fans not impressed by the current approach to curbing toxicity
In its new blog, CoD’s team mentioned how they are treating the situation of online hacking, abusive behavior, or any other kind of offensive activity. Per Call of Duty, over 500,000 players have been removed from the game as part of the anti-toxicity campaign. Moreover, around 300,000 accounts have been renamed since the launch of an automated filtering system. The latter is part of Activision‘s commitment to anti-toxicity in-game.

Players are not happy with the current measures to ban toxic accounts
Despite their best efforts, however, it seems like the makers have somehow failed to impress the fans. After Call of Duty’s team shared the data regarding banned accounts, most of the players on social media started mocking them. According to the fans, nothing has changed in online matches.
Many of the users even mentioned that instead of actual cheaters getting banned, regular players are losing their accounts due to the filtering system. Simply put, they are not satisfied with how CoD’s team is handling the issue of removing toxicity.

If this was a thing during MW2 (2009) 90% of the playerbase would've been banned.

Know what would help the anti-toxicity community. Start timing people out if they purposely leave the game. That’s by far the most toxic thing you can do. Que up into a duo/trio/quad and not speak and just dip and leave your team low man cuz f em right?
