Two of these Nominees have riled people up, God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring. One is a first-party Sony PlayStation exclusive, while the other is a Japanese action RPG developed by From Software, the creators of the Souls Borne genre.
Elon Musk prefers Elden Ring over God of War!
People have chosen sides and are actively letting everyone know their thoughts on Twitter. With the nominations already out, fans have concluded the fight to go down to the two giants. Although there are plenty of great games on the list, people believe it to be either of the two.
And in all this commotion, a Twitter user by the name of WLOP tweeted, “Go Elden Ring, Game of the year Please!” To everyone’s surprise, this tweet was replied to by none other than the richest person in the World, Elon Musk.

He replied with a “Definitely,” making it pretty clear that he was on the Elden Ring’s side in this fan war.

To some people, this basically settles the argument. Who better to make such decisions than Elon Musk himself? Though, as is the custom, a number of people followed his reply with their own preferences.
The Game of the Year will be revealed next month
Both these games are worthy of every award they can get. Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok both are very well-made games. They are filled with intriguing stories and engaging gameplay and feature a world that players cannot get enough of. And developers of both these games have actually worked for years to breathe life into these worlds (Some of them were even aided by the legendary George R.R. Martin).
