Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, who plays the role of Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding, has revealed some information that might be teasing a sequel to the 2019 PS4 exclusive game.
Being a close friend of Hideo Kojima, Reedus is set to be the protagonist in Kojima’s next game. Meanwhile, Kojima Productions might also be working on a possible Death Stranding 2.

Reedus reveals to journalists in a roundtable for Walking Dead Season 11, saying, “I think we’re doing a second Death Stranding.” On the other hand, Kojima and PlayStation are already negotiating a possible sequel: Death Stranding 2.
The Director’s cut for Death Stranding is also set to release in September, and it seems like he might be referring to the enhanced and expanded version of the game. However, the possibility for a sequel remains on the table, given Kojima has entered negotiations with Playstation.

Interestingly, Hideo Kojima commented on the aforementioned issue through a tweet, and it seems like he clearly dislikes the name “director’s cut.” Therefore, claims for a sequel seem to get even stronger.

Death Stranding Director’s cut
The Director’s Cut is set to offer a whole new experience to Death Stranding by offering various features. Evolved stabilizers will allow you to deliver packages quicker, allowing the player to jump elevations and land safely.

Furthermore, there will be new sets of weaponry to choose from, including a Maser Gun. This can be used to stun enemies for a longer period. Additional features include replaying boss battles, a new score system to view global ranking, and eight new tracks in the music player. To add the cherry on top of all of these, you will now have new jump ramps that will allow you to do tricks on your bike, along with a new race track for online rankings.
