Dead Space Remake Director Alerts Binge Night Gamers by a ‘Four-Word’ Warning

The Upcoming Dead Space Remake from EA has already riled up the fans as one of the lead developers of the game has stated that the game is so scary that even they can’t play it on their own at night. Looking at the recent underperformance from horror games, this tease has given the fans a new ray of hope. 

Even the recently released trailer of the game showcased the signature dread-inducing horror that the franchise is known for will be present in the new remake. According to the teases and reports, this remake will take every positive aspect of the original and make them better and significantly improve the visual aspects of the game. 

The horrifying nightmares of Dead Space Remake 

The 2008 original is still regarded as one of the greatest Horror games ever made. It is one of the many reasons why the expectations for the upcoming remake are astronomically high. And the developers are also aware of this as they have intended to keep faithful to the original’s mechanics while giving the series its much-needed modern touches.

In a recent interview, the technical director of the Dead Space Remake, David Robilliard, has alerted the players with a weak heart. According to him, the ‘game is so scary’ that even the developers couldn’t dare play it alone at night with headphones. The fact that even the decade-old original was enough to give players nightmares, it won’t be much farfetched to expect the horror aspect in the modern version will only be higher. 

Even David has shared that what they have created was nowhere possible just a few years ago, as he said the things they have made “could have been done [on PS4], but not to the level we’re doing them today.” This statement only helps solidify the promises that the game made during its announcements. 

Will Callisto Protocol’s failure affect it? 

Not long ago, another highly anticipated horror game, The Callisto Protocol, was released worldwide. Unfortunately, the game was nowhere near the expectations. Since its initial release, the game was plagued by bugs and glitches. Even the gameplay felt lackluster to many users. So this unfortunate blow has left a bad taste among Horror game fans, which could influence the DS remake’s reception.
