Dead Space Remake features a very unlikely tribute in one of its levels

Dead Space is full of those creepy tight corridors. And it makes sense too, it is set on a spaceship called USG Ishimura, that spaceship has mysteriously gotten infected by a bunch of undead enemies.

The only thing Isaac Clarke, an engineer, cares about is saving his girlfriend, Nicole. In the process, he saves a number of other characters, but Nicole is his main focus. While searching for her, he finds a number of people dead who have left messages written in their blood on walls.

Sometimes he even finds audio logs that have a recording of someone telling what happened to them. These things add some backstory to this game.

During his time at Ishimura, Isaac eventually finds a room. In that room is a red circle with candles. That circle is conveniently in front of a TV screen. If players stomp the floor and use their melee attack in a specific rhythm while standing in the middle of that circle, they get a very special surprise.

That surprise is Dead Space’s own creepy version of that Wellerman sea shanty. Players can find the guide to that rhythm hidden around the Ishimura.
