Dead Space Remake Brings Much More Than Striking Visuals to New Players!

Dead Space Remake which has already won eager fans’ hearts for a long time now, is mere hours away from release. From fans of the original game to a number of new survival horror gamers, there’s no shortage of people waiting for this game’s arrival.

While the headlines everywhere are talking about its visuals and its low system requirements, Electronic Arts has confirmed one more thing that would give fans of the original a reason to replay this game!

EA Motive has added an alternate ending to Dead Space Remake!

Almost every fan of the original Dead Space knows what’s going on in USG Ishimura planet miner. All those necromorphs popping left and right. Those bloody messages on walls asking Isaac to “cut off their limbs”, and the protagonist’s girlfriend sending random messages guiding him through the levels.

And all of those fans are also aware of what all these lead to (we wonder if developers retained those chapter names with spoilers in them). The climax of Dead Space was one of the most shocking things ever. Some said they predicted it, others said they were surprised at the direction it took.

But it appears that the developers decided to give returning players an exciting new thing to tackle. EA has revealed that this awaited remake brings with it a new secret ending.

Recently, the official trophy list of this remake was revealed by Exophase. Amongst those was a trophy named ‘Reunion‘, the description of which reads: “See the alternative ending on any difficulty mode.”

An alternate ending seems plausible given the fact that Motive has gone and changed the level design of this game in a curious manner. Instead of making it all closed and locked behind a bunch of load screens, they have made it seamless.

A player, if they decide, can go from the cargo hold of Ishimura, where the game starts to the very last point seamlessly without any load screens. And this would obviously make the game somewhat non-linear.

Maybe this newfound possibility to explore a bunch of game areas beforehand leads to this new trophy.

A New Game Plus mode is in play!

Other than an alternate ending, this game also has a New Game Plus mode. For those unaware, a new game plus mode allows players to restart a game with all their previously unlocked weapons and abilities. This mode also increases the difficulty of the campaign, making enemies harder to kill and a mix of these things makes this new mode somewhat interesting.

The game is made with EA’s popular Frostbite Engine and would be released on January 27, 2023, for PC, Xbox Series consoles, and PlayStation 5.
