Last week, Rockstar Games and its massive fanbase celebrated the 10 anniversary of GTA V. It’s pretty exciting that a game that launched in 2013 is still relevant ten years after its initial launch date. Rockstar celebrated this anniversary by giving GTA Online players a number of rewards upon completion of several kinds of missions.
While that time has passed, Rockstar Games has yet another surprise for GTA Online players, and this one is nothing to scoff about. This time, Grand Theft Auto Online players are getting much more than double the XP and cash bonus!

GTA Online is still one of the most-played live service titles of the past and current generations. Many other developers have tried to match the success of this game, but it’s not that easy to leave behind a GTA game in popularity. A while ago, Rockstar Games introduced an add-on plan to this game, which was called GTA +.
GTA+ Members now get access to download and play a rotating assortment of classic Rockstar Games titles, starting with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

Those who subscribed to it received a bunch of incentives, such as 2x GTA $ upon mission completion, free vehicles, discounted vehicles, additional RP on mission completion, and a monthly deposit of $500,000 in their character’s account. If all this was not enough, Rockstar Games has gone and added the ability to play a bunch of Rockstar titles. This month, fans can download and play the complete GTA Definitive Trilogy, which consists of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas.
Now fans must understand that these games might change in the coming future, as Rockstar Games has specifically mentioned on their website that “GTA+ Members get access to download and play a rotating assortment of classic Rockstar Games titles.” This simply means new games would be added and older ones would be removed every now and then.

It’s still a very good value that players are getting at $5.99 per month. We will have to see if this scheme is able to attract more subscribers to this service or not.

It would be hard for Rockstar Games to change games
While they have mentioned that subscribers would get access to rotating Rockstar Games titles, it is still somewhat confusing. The developer does not have many games on the current generation of consoles.
The only major games that they released were GTA V, Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA Definitive Trilogy, and Red Dead Redemption. It’s hard for us to imagine the developer giving most of these games to a $5.99 subscription service. Definitive Edition is an exception given the fact that this trilogy was not very successful at its launch.
