The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has been the pioneer of aeronautics and space research since the early days. The strives that the teams at NASA made have fruited in a more detailed understanding of what lies outside Earth.

Interestingly, now NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas is doing a detailed and complex experiment to understand Mar’s habitant. But what caught the eye of many Netizens was regarding PlayStation. Many hilarious questions surfaced about the Sony console amidst this experimental news.

Talking about consoles, there are numerous debates about which is the best one. Though the answer to that is subjective, we sure can state which are the popular ones. Sony and their PlayStation brand have been pioneers in this department, and since its inception, the brand turned out to be a fan favorite.

With each version being widely acclaimed, PlayStation has become a name that almost everyone in the gaming biz knows. Thus, that might be the reason why NASA included a PlayStation console as a means of entertainment in their latest Mars experiment.

NASA currently is on a mission to send Humans to Mars by 2030. Thus, to experiment with the planet’s habitat, they have created a replica of what to expect there. Called Mars Dune Alpha, this artificial habitat was created through a 3D modeling mechanism.

Additionally, some elements of human culture were also added to the Habitat, including a kitchen, lounge and even a treadmill. But what caught many people’s eye was the PlayStation. PS4 was also included as an entertainment piece for the artificial space.

What intrigued the fans, even more, was not the mere presence of PlayStation 4, but the decision to choose that as the console.

PlayStation 5, which was released three years ago, is the latest/most popular console by Sony. But interestingly, what NASA included in their setup was the 2013 version (PS4).

Netizens were mocking NASA in a joking way, even stating that the multi-billion dollar worth organization cannot afford the latest gen.
