Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty stands as the freshest expansion in the ever-popular CD Projekt Red’s video game universe. In this expansion, players will take on the role of the cyber-enhanced mercenary V and take on a high-stakes mission to save the NUS President. Along with the new content, CD Projekt Red has some plans for features that helps content creator and streamers.
While Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty comes with a radio feature, there have been 3 new additions to the lineup. The new radio stations in the game are Darkstar Radio, Impulse, and Growl FM. The new expansion is bringing in a new feature called “Disable Copyrighted Music” This mode can be toggled by players within the game settings. It is specifically designed to assist content creators and streamers who want to capture and share gameplay. This is a brilliant step by CD Projekt as it addresses potential issues related to copyrighted music that could lead to demonetization or the removal of videos when streamed or recorded.

The Copyright exception to the Disable Copyrighted Music mode

While most copyrighted music can be disabled, there is one exception in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty . The artist Grimes has a song called “Delicate Weapon” featured in the game. This track is present in several scenes and a radio station and cannot be muted using the upcoming feature. CD Projekt Red has implemented a delay for copyright claims on Grimes’ song. For the first two years after the expansion’s release, the song will not demonetize content created using it.

After the initial two-year period, the song “Delicate Weapon” will be subject to copyright claims. To avoid a loss of revenue, content creators will need to manually mute the soundtrack from the game when editing or streaming gameplay.
