Counter-Strike 2 is possibly the biggest talk in the competitive first-person shooting scene. After all, this upcoming game’s predecessor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, was the leading FPS title for years. This new CS title will release in the summer of 2023. However, Valve has made it available for some people via their ongoing Limited Test.
But the CS: GO community is unhappy with Valve giving early access first to Valorant players. However, the renowned eSports journalist Jake Lucky believes there are reasons for the American video game developer to prioritize whom they are enrolling for their Limited Test first.

The Counter-Strike community is not liking how Valve is prioritizing Valorant professional players and streamers over those who are big names in the CS: GO scene. Now it is understandable why the fans are so furious with it. Even Jake Lucky understands the frustration, but he asks the Counter-Strike community to relax.
I see a lot of people really angry that Valorant pros and streamers are getting access to CS2 before some Counterstrike pros and creators

The renowned eSports journalist believes prioritizing Valorant pros is a master plan by Valve. In recent years, Valorant has become a household name in the first-person shooting community over Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. So he believes it is a move for attracting the majority of FPS players that “strayed away from the light” back to the correct path, which is Counter-Strike 2.

So, Valve can take back its FPS throne with Counter-Strike 2. After all, the game has a lot of new exciting features, which already impressed many big-name gaming personalities.
How did CS: GO fans react to Jake Lucky’s theory?
The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans that were against Valve’s priorities agreed with Jake’s explanation. Many fans later claimed that it could aid Valve in regaining the Counter-Strike crowd that had defected to Valorant. Yet, some remain dissatisfied with Valve’s strategy, claiming that they should prioritize devoted fans first.

Val pulled so many pros away just due to new opportunities..with CSGO 2 we will see lots return for sure

It's weird how they're giving access almost "at will" to the big names that left CS and haven't played it for months/years. I get the win-back strategy, but it would also be in CS2's best interest to keep the hype up with more waves or drops while viewing streamer games 🤷♂️

I think they have the right to be mad about other people getting it before them. it should be CS pros and creators, and fans first, then outsiders lol

If Counter-Strike 2 manages to attract the majority of the audience, then there is no doubt that it can be the top first-person shooter, just like its predecessor.
