Jake Lucky is an industry insider who is often considered a reliable source for news and rumors circulating across the gaming community. Like many other fans, he also seems to be intrigued by the riots and the reasons behind it. Cenat has been arrested after the riots.
Rumors speculate the streamer may be charged with unlawful assembly and inciting riots. Cenat may also face jail time if the charges are pressed by the authorities. To learn more about the situation, Lucky talked to criminal lawyer Caleb Grimes to know how Cenat may fare under the circumstances.
I asked a criminal defense lawyer about Kai Cenat’s situation. He does not believe he will be charged by the state of New York for anything, including “inciting a riot” pic.twitter.com/Rudx7zpe5i

However, Grimes thinks Cenat’s fortunes won’t be so bad as he hasn’t done anything that can result in serious jail time in the state of New York. Kai didn’t engage in tumultuous AND violent conduct, opined Grimes. Grimes also thinks this is enough for Cenat to bypass any serious charges against him in connection with the riot.
Grimes also points out something interesting: NYPD has a dedicated unit that patrols social media sites trying to make sure no unruly mob behavior is incited by any online activities.
The criminal lawyer thinks Walmart Black Friday sales create similar chaos
Caleb also says that if Cenat is persecuted for inciting the NYC riots, then shopping chain Walmart should also face similar charges. He said the Black Friday sale at Walmart often results in chaotic situations where the shopping center staff and security guards have to work extra hard to keep the crowds under control.
