Nintendo Switch is a very successful console and the fact that it is still matching sales with PlayStation 5 even after some have marked it underpowered is proof of its success.
While fans agree that this console is still capable enough, the console warriors from every kingdom continue this siege of insults around Nintendo’s well-guarded castle.
And this has planted some doubts in the minds of its long-time fans, and they have started wondering if this console can even complete 2023. Others that have complete trust in Nintendo have mentioned the name of one game that has the potential to save Nintendo Switch.

Would The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom be able to save Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo Switch is selling well enough, not because people love it wholeheartedly, but one of the major reasons is because this is the only way fans can play the next Zelda game. For Nintendo, this begrudging purchase still counts as a purchase, so they are unshaken!
The fact that Nintendo has ordered the production of even more OLED models is evidence enough of the fact that there would not be a new console anytime soon. And fans waiting to play their favorite games in either 60fps or 4k would have to wait yet another year.

But there is one game that has the potential to turn all the naysayers around. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is going to release for Nintendo Switch in May 2023. And let us not forget, the last Nintendo’s first-party exclusives, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sold over 10 million copies within three days of its launch and Fire Emblem Engage, which is not really a title that is widely known is even topping the charts.
Its prequel, Breath of the Wild also sold around 22 million copies by 2022, which is not a small feat. And now that there are way more Nintendo Switch consoles in people’s living rooms, this game has the potential of selling even more. It would surely even be GOTY of 2023, as is the custom of every Zelda game to this date.
So yes, saying that Nintendo Switch is underpowered by today’s standards is not wrong, but this console is in need of being saved is not accurate.
