Halo titles, through the years, have always been amongst the best first-person shooter games in the market. The first-ever game in the critically acclaimed franchise, Halo: Combat Evolved, released in 2001 and performed extremely well. Some might even argue that it is the greatest game ever made. Thankfully for the fans, 343 Industries continue to build on the franchise’s honorable legacy with the new title, Halo Infinite.

The Multiplayer Beta launched last month celebrating 20 years of Xbox. The game, even with its limited features compared to the complete title has been loved by fans, creators/streamers, and critics alike. To showcase how the game is clearly dominating its adversaries, a Twitter user compiled a list of reviews and ratings from some of the established and well-renowned media houses, leaving one question on everyone’s mind: is Halo Infinite the Best Game of 2021?

Halo Infinite: bright start to Halo’s campaign

Halo players finally get to jump right into the action with Halo: Infinite’s campaign mode from December 8th. The devs dropped the trailer on the last day of November.

Following the in-depth trailer, various critics have now rated it. And it definitely looks promising, racking up high praises from almost every critic.

While IGN and GameSpot rate the campaign a 9 out of 10, according to other media publishers such as VG247, Inverse, Windows Central, and many more, the story mode is flawless as they gave it nothing less than the highest remarks.

Infinite received an 87 Metascore on metacritic‘s scale based on 69 reviews and 86 from Opencritic based on 107 reviews (at the time of writing).

Halo: Game of the Year 2021?

As the players jump into the “biggest Halo ever”, according to the devs, and continue on Master Chief’s journey, there’s no reason why it couldn’t claim the title of the best game of the year. Halo: Infinite is arguably one of the most played since its launch. And the campaign will only add to the experience.

Even though players’ reviews can vary from the critic’s initial thoughts, the game is on track to offer its fans nothing but the best.
