The influence of anime on our culture and generation is immense. The stylized representation of struggles, overcoming hurdles, and making friends along the way has become a hit formula by Japanese anime creators to make their audiences hooked to a story that is utterly captivating. Naruto is one such anime that is still considered a rockstar of anime even after 20 years, and so does MrBeast.

And thus it feels bad when such a popular show’s sequel has to face a drastic change of heart by the audience. As recently MrBeast commented on a Naruto 20th-year anniversary poster that divided the community in two.

Fans react to MrBeast’s comments on Naruto’s 20th Anniversary visual

A recent post by Anime Trending shares a poster of the original Naruto with all the characters from that anime, including Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, and all the leaf village Ninjas the story is particularly based on. To which MrBeast replied, “To celebrate they should make Boruto watchable.”

Many thought that Boruto was not that bad of an anime and has some great potential. While others said that the anime has lost all its potential and does not possess the quality that Naruto and Naruto Shipudden had.

While the anime undoubtedly contains some good material for the audience, many believe that the manga of the show is way more advanced than the TV adaptation.

Apart from this streamer, SypherPK also felt that the anime isn’t as hyped as the original Naruto was. He said, “Damn, kinda true.” While a Boruto fan commented that Naruto too had flaws where they used characters like the Gold and Silver brothers to keep the story continuing.

Anime has a cultural impact not just in Japan but all across the globe. The methods and techniques used by anime makers are some of the most advanced; thus, it is not surprising that these shows become popular worldwide.

According to Statista, “A survey held in the United States in January 2020 found that opinions on anime movies varied significantly across age groups, with 27 percent of adults aged 18 to 29 years old saying that they had a very favorable impression of anime films. This was double the share of adults between 30 and 44 years and nine times the share of those aged between 55 and 64 years old who said the same. Older generations were less likely to be anime fans and many had not heard of it, especially those aged 55 or above.”
