The location, Flower Kingdom, is home to Prince Haru. He made his appearance in an animated film, Super Mario Bros. – The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach. In the movie, Haru accompanies Mario and Luigi on their missions. However, the brothers don’t know he is the prince as Haru is cursed to be a dog resembling a caterpillar. But at the end of the movie, Haru marries Peach.

We can see the sadness of the Italian plumber after knowing this in the movie. Now, with the current game being set in the Flower Kingdom, fans are suspecting the character will make a debut in Nintendo games. Furthermore, in the promotional piece of the game, fans spotted a caterpillar-esque character. This character reminded the fans of Prince Haru’s dog form.
