We all have once been those kids who used to question the point of teaching arithmetic in High School. If you are currently one of those students who is still learning arithmetic, good luck to you! However, MrBeast is here with a piece of advice, or rather, a truth bomb (to which the mathematics geniuses might disagree).

MrBeast shares his opinion on high school maths and its prospects for the future

For sure, maths is ‘not’ one of the most likable subjects amongst students. Seems like even MrBeast subscribes to this idea too. In the tweet below, you will see, MrBeast says that he has never practically used the high-level math taught to him in high school.

If you look at MrBeast’s life, there is practically no point in applying Algebra, Calculus, BODMAS, or trigonometry formulas anywhere. He is already at the peak of his career, just at 23.

Notably, the sensation took up the career as a YouTuber right after dropping out of college. He has gained humongous fame for his philanthropy and business that he is running alongside his content creation on Youtube.

MrBeast is also the co-creator of some charitable work, such as Team Seas, a fundraiser for cleaning up the world’s oceans. He raised over $30 million USD in a very short period of time as a fundraiser for the organization Ocean Conservancy. Furthermore, in 2019, he was also able to raise $23 Million with TeamTrees to plant 20 million trees worldwide.

However, this does not mean that high-school math is not useful for those who are genuinely interested. Complex arithmetic is very much essential for STEM subjects and Computer Science subjects. Hence, do not really lose all your faith in the maths subjects (remember Sheldon from Big Bang Theory) because they can sometimes help you get into higher places.

Fan reactions

Fans were quick to realise how they have learnt some of the most useless things in school which actually do not have any practical use in the real world. Have a look at what they have got to say. Even Karl had some of his own inputs to add.
