What makes things worse for Esports professionals is when people who have put bets online slide in to talk negative remarks about them. That is, if someone lost a particular bet, they would turn towards the players and be extra toxic to them.
Now the recent victim of such a debacle is none other that the Call of Duty professional player Clayster. He was seen getting verbal toxicity from online gamblers because his performance did not meet the bets that they have placed.

These people slid into Clayster’s DM to give their negative and toxic remarks to the professional. Moreover, it is quite interesting to see this, especially in the case of Clayster as he won the match that the gamblers were talking about.

Both ways, this is not an isolated event and for sure we have seen other professionals also getting bombarded in their chats by random strangers for the same reason. Only time will tell if some regulatory system will come against such toxic individuals.
