Nintendo has been on a winning streak in 2022 so far with all of its releases turning out to be huge hits. Among them is also Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the newest entry in the beloved franchise. It has swayed the players on the Switch with an amazing gameplay experience. However, the same cannot be said about another Kirby title, though, that recently made a return from the N64 era.

According to various reports, surfacing on social media, there are players who are facing serious, game-breaking bugs in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. The latter was released on the Nintendo Switch Online, being another title coming from the N64’s past catalog.

For those uninitiated, Kirby 64 is a 2000 title, made by HAL Laboratory for the Nintendo 64 (N64) console. It’s the first installment in its franchise to feature 3D graphics. The game follows the journey of the adorable pink hero, as he tries to reassemble a sacred crystal. The title presents the player with a 2.5D viewing perspective.

As is already known, Nintendo Switch Online recently added Kirby 64 for those who haven’t enjoyed this classic yet. It’s the newest offering in a series of N64 games making their return for the modern Switch console.

However, it looks like the overall gaming experience of the players is not going great with Kirby 64. The underwater levels in the title seem to be causing occasional bugs at the moment. It’s leading to players getting stuck in a stun animation. And to avoid it, they have to quit the level in order to fix the problem. Which is, in itself, quite annoying as many players aren’t able to make progress.

Looking at these posts on the social media, it’s quite certain that fans are not having a smooth experience with the N64 title. Hence, Nintendo should address this issue as soon as possible in the coming days.

In another news, the Mario maker is currently preparing for the release of its next batch of projects. With the likes of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the line-up looks solid.
