Charlie Day thrilled to work in Luigi’s Mansion after the Super Mario movie
Luigi’s Mansion is one of the most popular series in the community. It is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for GameCube. The first title was released back in 2001 and has created an enormous impact ever since. It has sold over 3.3 million copies as of 2020, sitting as the fifth-best-selling GameCube game of all time.

After watching the tremendous success of the first title, Nintendo released two additional sequels. The Nintendo 3DS title Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon in 2013 and Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Charlie Day expressed his views on playing the lead role in Luigi’s Mansion movie adaption in the future. He said, “Yeah, my son was just playing Luigi’s Mansion the other day on his Switch. Look, I’m thrilled to get the opportunity. I grew up playing Super Mario Brothers as did everyone I know so, we’ll see! It’s like anything else in life. I’ll go if I’m invited.”
Charlie will become the second only actor to bring Luigi’s role back to the screen. Indeed, apart from Mario, his little brother Luigi also has a huge fanbase and many fans want to see him in action. Naturally, several users are showing interest in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie.
