Wolvenkit Modders bag official positions at CD Projekt Red
CD Projekt Red, the makers of Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3, has made a really wise decision to incorporate talented modders as official employees in their company.
Earlier this morning, an announcement on the Cyberpunk 2077 modding community Discord server revealed Hambalko Bence (aka Traderain), Blumster, Kote Akos (aka Nightmarea), and rfuzzo would join CD Projekt Red as official employees.

This team of modders will join CDPR to develop modding support and backend projects for Cyberpunk 2077. They will join under the company Yigsoft- co-founded by Traderain and Nightmarea.

However, this does raise concerns about Wolvenkit’s future. Till now, it is unclear whether the software will continue receiving its updates.
Concerns regarding industry-standard rules and potential conflict of interests hinder the chances for this open-source software to operate within its own sphere of interest.

As of now, there’s no news of an official mod kit release regarding Cyberpunk 2077 either.
