Call of Duty franchise has surprisingly made a shift to its past in the last year or so. It’s quite evident to see from all kinds of elements getting introduced in the ongoing installment – giving nostalgic vibes.
Since its launch in 2022, Modern Warfare II has offered tons of content based on classic CODs. So that fans can relive the golden days of the FPS series in the modern-day. From weapons to maps, players have seen multiple surprises, from the past, making their way into MWII’s experience. But it looks like the devs are not done yet in giving them a feeling of Call of Duty’s early years when it was initially unveiled worldwide.

Captain John Price is a character who needs no introduction. His importance in the Modern Warfare universe has been unmatched and ever growing to say the least. For those who are not aware, he was first seen in 2003’s Call of Duty title from the Infinity Ward. Actor Michael Gough was the one who voiced him. Now, it seems like the original Price is going to get a special comeback. In other words, he will be a part of the FPS franchise’s 20-year anniversary this year.
Thanks to the datamined files in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, after the launch of Season 5 Reloaded, an upcoming Operator skin for Captain Price from 2005’s COD 2 has been unearthed.

Media outlet CharlieIntel recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the big news. In a post, the website’s account dropped a video showcasing Captain Price from Call of Duty 2. Currently, actor Barry Sloane plays the iconic character in the rebooted MW sub-series. So it makes things even more interesting for fans to see him in the skin of the ‘Price from the past’.

Although it’s not yet confirmed to arrive in Season 5 Reloaded, Activision will likely make it official soon. It will be amazing for new COD fans to witness a legendary iteration of their favorite character inside a modern installment.
