Capcom’s Street Fighter VI Could Become the Biggest Ever Fighting Game Thanks to Cross-Play

Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the fighting game, Street Fighter VI. Recently, Capcom released the latest Street Fighter game at the Summer Game Fest 2022. The event raised curtains over Street Fighter 6’s gameplay and revealed the game to release in 2023.

Aside from the short gameplay reveal and the 2023 release not much was made public at the event. However, recently there is a leak from Maximilian Dood on Twitter, claiming the developers confirmed the upcoming Street Fighter game to have cross-play.

Cross-Play is a feature that allows players on different players to enjoy together. In the past, players could only enjoy multiplayer with players on the same gaming platform. But the cross-platform will enable a Playstation user to enjoy the game with friends on PC or Xbox.

Undoubtedly, this feature will help Street Fighter VI become one of the best games by Capcom. Everyone is eagerly looking forward to trying this Japanese fighting game.

What to expect from Street Fighter VI?

It’s been over 35-years since the release of the first Street Fighter game back in 1987. This fighting game series just kept getting better over time with the latest game Street Fighter V which was amazing. But the Street Fighter Vi is on its way and it would be excellent too.

The game will have a side-scrolling fighting gameplay system like its predecessor. However, the visuals will be far better than the older games. And this game will also feature a story mode besides the classic fighting mode and multiplayer mode.

As for the characters in the game, Capcom only revealed five characters, including only new characters. Ryu and Chun-Li are no strangers to Street Fighter fans and they are the two old characters confirmed in the new game. Further, Capcom also revealed Guile at the Summer Game Fest 2022.

Now for the new elements of the game, Capcom raised curtains over a new character, the self-styled Chinatown peacekeeper, Jamie. Capcom also revealed that the last character added in Street Fighter V, Luke, also made it to the new game. The major new fact about this game is that it wouldn’t be a Sony exclusive.

The last Street Fighter game was a Sonly Exclusive. So it was released on PlayStation 4 and later for Windows. However, the Street Fighter V never made it to Xbox. But that won’t be the case with the upcoming one as Street Platform will release on Playstation, PC, and even Xbox.
