Capcom is on a roll nowadays. It has released several successful games, and to make things even better, they have been doing that mostly without riddling their titles with micro-transactions. The biggest example of this was the recently launched Resident Evil 4 remake. It had a few microtransactions, but the game was completely playable without them.

And now, Capcom is planning to give its fans yet another treat in the form of some major new announcements. Some of them might even blow the minds of their fans!

Capcom has recently announced that it will be holding a showcase for its upcoming and unannounced titles. This announcement comes right after they asked people which Resident Evil title they would like to see remade next.

There is a rumor floating around that Capcom might announce their next remake during this upcoming showcase, but a new installment in this series is not out of the question. Fans have high hopes that they will see Resident Evil 9, which was recently leaked.

The game is said to be a mix of Resident Evil Village and 4 Remake; it would star Chris Redfield, and it would follow a similar format to that of Village. This information alone has hyped fans enough to be excited about this announcement.

Other than that, fans can also expect to see some gameplay from the recently announced Dragon’s Dogma 2, or the Devil May Cry series.

Another thing that is pretty much confirmed to be present during this showcase is the mobile game. Reportedly, Capcom is working with Pokemon Go creator Niantic on a game called Monster Hunter Now. The game has a launch date set for September 2023; hence, it would only make sense for Capcom to present this game during this showcase.

Other than all these, fans can probably hope to see a real next-gen Monster Hunter game. Maybe Monster Hunter World 2? Monster Hunter Rise proved to be an excellent game, but being a Nintendo Switch first, it was not a showcase of RE Engine’s capabilities. Let’s hope we see this series enter the next generation this coming week.
