The video game space has been filled with unlimited options in today’s time. Gone are the days when one had to sit around a big box of screens with a lot of objects in order to enjoy good gaming. Now everything has become better and more convenient, thanks to modern-day consoles, portable PCs, and also the ones that fall under the category of handhelds.
Interestingly, Nintendo isn’t the only one making such products anymore. Competitors like Valve are also giving the Japanese giant a tough fight. And now, to raise the bar even higher, ASUS has come up with its own compact, handheld called ROG Ally. While it can run numerous AAA titles smoothly, many Call of Duty fans must be wondering whether it can handle a game like Modern Warfare II or not, without breaking a sweat.

For those who are not aware of its specs at all, the gaming PC supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It has got a 1920×1080 resolution. The small device gets its power from the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip inside. It comes with Windows 11 out of the box, which makes it seem like a regular gaming computer. Hence, any game supported on dedicated PCs can run on it.
Recently, popular YouTuber jackfrags decided to test the limits of ASUS ROG Ally. He was trying to see how it handles massive AAA titles like Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, Halo, Battlefield 2042, and also Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. The YouTuber kept the settings low, for obvious reasons, while running the game on Full HD resolution. For the purpose of testing, he had kept the device on charging. He had also attached a USB dock and plugged in his mouse and keyboard in order to get the feeling of playing on a full-fledged computer.
Per jackfrags, Modern Warfare II ran well on ASUS ROG Ally when he played on the map of Shipment with bots. He was getting an average of 60 FPS, which is amazing to witness. Moreover, the game looked pleasing as well, despite being in low settings. Speaking of the free-to-play title Warzone 2, then it averaged around 50 FPS in general.
