The DMZ content in Call of Duty Warzone 2 has been a phenomenal addition by the devs. Unlike the regular battle royale, this mode enables the players to enjoy the game at their own pace while exploring the vast region of Al Mazrah. Not to mention that they get endless opportunities in the city to earn amazing rewards for the risks taken during numerous missions.

When it comes to the maps for this mode, the makers have unveiled two major options so far. Apart from Al Mazrah, the other one is Ashika Island. The latter was revealed earlier this year with Season 2. Interestingly though, DMZ could receive another new map, going by some of the recent rumors, hinting towards a huge update.

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, a few weeks ago, there was a massive leak revealed by industry insider and streamer ModernWarzone. He posted a Tweet on his main account while informing about Warzone 2.

The content creator had mentioned that several dataminers had managed to find, “references to Rebirth Island and a night time version of Al Mazrah in the files for Modern Warfare II. Rebirth Island COULD be for Warzone Mobile but night time Al Mazrah is almost certainly for Warzone 2.”

Now the most important thing to note from this leak is the aspect of the night. When taking it into consideration, it won’t be a perfect idea for the devs to implement a night time version of Al Mazrah for a fast-paced setup like the battle royale. However, giving this option to the players of DMZ might be a better decision. Why?

By nature, the demilitarized zone is a slower-paced experience that demands a lot of time from the players. After completing various quests, they have to make a successful extraction in order to retain their loot. Having the option of doing all these things at night might offer them a suitable opportunity to perform even more stealth-based tactics, necessary for a mode like DMZ.
