Call of Duty Warzone 2 has turned out to be an interesting title in many ways. While the battle royale segment has failed to impress a large number of players, the newly introduced DMZ mode has been a unique experience for them.
Thanks to its design and overall pacing, the extraction-based mode has gained a lot of momentum in the last few months. Especially for those, who are not habitual of entering the fast-paced battle royale matches. DMZ gives them the opportunity to be able to strategize, and use the best tactics to complete adventurous missions while making successful exfil streaks with attractive rewards.

Earlier this year, the demilitarized zone received the biggest possible change during the launch of Season 2. Not only did it get a new map in Ashika Island, the devs also made a major wipe as well regarding the progress accomplished by the players. It was done to make the experience feel refreshing and engaging.
It looks like the next major update in Season 4 will do something similar. Recently, Infinity Ward devs shared a tweet on Call of Duty Warzone 2’s DMZ mode. They informed the players about the changes coming to this experience. “Updates will include a refresh and reset like that of Season 02 in order to make room for new Mission sets and the new Upgrade [REDACTED]. Faction Mission progress will be reset in lieu of the new ability to earn Faction [CLASSIFIED]“.

From the tweet, it’s clear that there will be a reset, just like Season 2. What’s important to note that is the progress made by players for their respective factions will be wiped. This will be in relation to a brand new Faction. Unfortunately, the name of this group hasn’t been revealed yet.
While the Contrabend, key, mission inventories, and insured weapon slots will be reset, players will be able to keep their earned rewards like Blueprints, Skins, and Calling Cards.
