Call of Duty Warzone has finally bid farewell to the old Battle Royale map Verdansk. Fans will no longer get a chance to visit the skylines filled with sniper’s nests in every corner. In place of this map, Raven Software has rolled out another elaborate Pacific map that offers open sightlines, dense coniferous forest, and a massive river body.
However, the scenic beauty of this impressive Battle Royale map has fallen to the whims of horrible optimization. Fans have reported several issues to the developers within the new map, as the problematic map has ruined everyone’s experience.

There is no denying that Raven Software has dug a massive hole for itself, and it will take a considerable time to pull itself out. Verdansk has been removed from active duty forever, and gamers are left with a new map that is unfished. Hackers had already made the game intolerable, and now the latest issues have added more fuel to the fire.
🤣 Awful map will last 2 weeks before players are sick off it same old. Ponds, hills and fields with some beach areas terrible not to mention the guns are shite and it's buggy as hell keeps crashing my ps5 sack off shit. Bring back verdansk ffs.

Some fans came to the rescue of the developers, but releasing an unfinished product cannot be forgiven so easily. The studio could have easily pushed the release dates, beta tested the map, paving the way for a much smoother release.
Thanks, please they are being bombarded with shit right now, please everyone, CALM DOWN and wait a few days for a fix/response, Dev's can't just fix problems in 5 minutes, that's not how it works.

Fans continue to pile more complaints and reminded the studio that the player base shouldn’t be treated as beta testers. Rather, the developers should put the product through rigorous tests and scrutinize everything.
We aren’t beta testers. This shit should have been figured out before the release, even though it was delayed a week.

Console fans have been at receiving end of a lot of issues as compared to PC players. The studio has placed a special consideration in jotting down all the issues encountered by the console players. Fans can expect to receive a comprehensive patch in the upcoming days that will address the console fanbase.
no console fov slider, L update. stop trying to work with a 2 year old build of the IW8 engine and move warzone to its own title.

Some fans have reported sudden shutdowns and reported frequent crashes while navigating through the main menu. A glitchy map isn’t the only extent of the issues, it seems like the entire Warzone client needs to be put under the microscope of quality assessment.
The second I search for a lobby, search through operators, create a loadout or go through my settings the game just closes and goes to the desktop, freezes or flashes up with a fatal error, disk error or dev error. Usually shades haven't completely uploaded before this happens. pic.twitter.com/CGPAVhSMBA

PC users are also facing frequent crashes and lackluster performance as Warzone continues to let everyone down.
One of the many crash errors I’m getting on pc too, keep in mind I’m running a 11900k, 3090, and 64gbs of ram. This update is pure garbage

The hackers might have killed the popularity of the title, but this latest update has definitely hammered the final nail in its coffin. How will Raven Software respond to these myriads of issues?
You guys just lost my interest with the new update. Clearly, no fov slider, fidelity cas, and all other pc settings that supposed to be on the console. All you care about are these pc streamers. Im out

Too many cooks can spoil a broth, well the same law applies to game development as well. How many dev teams were assigned to this game?
This is what happens when you have 4 games in one game and 7 different dev teams working together recipe for success!🤷🏽♂️ pic.twitter.com/jqbWTvyYEW

Undoubtedly Verdansk had a much better reception from the community when it came out. This will only complicate things as the painful goodbye will intensify even more.
