The new season of Call of Duty Warzone arrived earlier today. In addition to tons of new maps, weapons, and game modes, Call of Duty also enabled 120hz gameplay for the PlayStation 5. Since the game will run at these settings on the PS4 version itself, it is the first back-compatible PlayStation game to run at 120hz.

While Sony has not been as quick as Xbox in introducing this feature, the fact that PlayStation games are back-compatible opens a host of possibilities for existing PS4 games. This feature is only available to those who have HDMI 2.1 TVs.

If you have previously enabled 120hz gameplay for other games on your PS5, then Warzone should automatically run at these revamp settings. However, if this is not the case, then you will have to follow these steps:

New changes to Call of Duty Warzone with the Season 4 update

Once this is done, your game should run as smoothly as its PC and Xbox counterparts. Aside from this gameplay update, Call of Duty introduced a major change to the map of Verdansk. There is now a giant satellite on the map that has crashed from orbit. Players can also ride new vehicles such as the dirt bike.
