The free-to-play battle royale was released earlier this year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is not a standalone title but rather a part of 2019 Call of Duty: Warzone. Warzone supports a total of 150 players and with only one coming out on top. The game takes place in Verdansk loosely based out of places from Ukraine.

Warzone features both cross-platform and play and progression, always keeping players in check. Now that closely explains the numbers as well. They have achieved this number in just five months, now that is a mesmerizing figure.
How much the current pandemic contributed to that can?t be clearly said. However, the feat was only possible because of the game itself. The developers have been constantly making changes and improvements alongside adding content to keep everyone engaged.
Furthermore, Infinity Ward has been doing their best to keep cheaters out of the game; something every player has dealt with at least once.
Details on the new Call of Duty
The announcement falls in line with Activision confirming that Treyarch and Raven Software are co-developing the next Call of Duty title.

The next title which will be another in the Black Ops series may end up dropping later this year. Seeking Alpha was able to transcribe the conversation between Activision Publishing Boss Rob Kostich and analyst Doug Creutz. In the conversation, Kostich spoke about upcoming plans among other things.
“The success of Warzone and Call of Duty Mobile in addition to, of course, what we continue to see on our premium games has created a ton of new opportunities for the franchise.
“As you’ve seen from our results, right now, we have a larger, more engaged, and more global audience than we’ve ever had at any point in time in our history. And that means that we could be more direct and more targeted than we’ve ever been before. So, that’s a huge benefit and plus for us as we think about marketing on that vector.
“If you look at Warzone, in particular, it’s not only like a great game experience, but it’s also a great platform for us to share new franchise news and information directly with our community like we haven’t done before.”

From his words, it looks like they?d be launching many news and hints on the new title over on Warzone. And as for the delay in releasing the title, Kostich stated that Warzone?s success made them rethink a lot of stuff and hence, the delay.
“We think it’s going to be very different and more engaging than anything that we’ve ever done before.
“The game works incredible right now. And internally people having a ton of fun playing across, its campaign mode as well as the online modes, the developers are very well known for. And so, all I can say in terms of timing is that I expect you’ll be hearing more about this fairly soon,” Kostich said.

Now, we are more sure of an integration but we?d have to wait and see how it?d work out. Kostich did not dwell deep into the details, so there could be a few more surprises coming our way.
