Call of Duty: Warzone has been getting incredibly frustrating for some players out there. Jack ?CouRage? Dunlop of 100 Thieves has been complaining about the Skill Based Matchmaking (SBMM) system in the game for a while now.

The streamer took to Twitter to state that he had taken a break from the game and faced the same issues upon his return.

Will SBMM be fixed in Call of Duty?

SBMM is one of the most hotly debated issues in gaming. What’s more, Warzone has been called out a number of times regarding the implementation of the same.

Players usually end up facing opponents that sit on the top of the leaderboards. Any player would be frustrated encountering this and for a battle royale like gameplay, it gets even worse. Warzone has over 75 million players, and it wouldn?t be a coincidence if a certain player gets put among the top over and over again.

However, SBMM can?t be entirely ignored. A proper grouping would make any game perfect. After all, playing with people on the same level as you would only make things more engaging.

But the Call of Duty battle royale doesn?t pitch players against equally skilled or levelled ones. Instead, players are in the same battleground as the ones on the top.

Many have even asked the developers to remove SBMM to make elements fun and enjoyable.?Sadly enough, if the leaks are true, the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will feature the same system. It is essentially Warzone, with some possible new gameplay elements and a new map.

No streamer/player would be happy with this piece of news. This would mean there will be no revamp to the existing SBMM in online modes, and you?d end up facing the same issue, the only difference being the setting.

Hopefully, Activision can take note of all this and work on the issue. It is hard to fix everything in a game so big, but all we can do is hope.
