Activision released its ambitious new Call of Duty offerings in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2 last year amid extreme hype. Since their grand debuts, both the titles have turned out to be quite popular among the players. Despite a slight change in their overall experience, they basically share a similar pattern thanks to the unified engine. It’s something that makes them both two sides of the same coin.

Due to being based on a single engine, unlike past entries, the latest Call of Duty Warzone 2 shares the same elements as Modern Warfare II in terms of offering weapons to the players. And they work similarly as well regardless of their usage either in Multiplayer or battle royale modes. At least that’s what the general perception has been until now. Because an expert player has now seemingly debunked this theory with a surprising revelation.
One Call of Duty weapon behaves differently in Warzone 2 battle royale than Modern Warfare II!
Weapon stats expert and YouTuber TrueGameData recently came out with an interesting clip on his channel. While stressing on how the weapons actually work in both the latest games, namely the battle royale and MWII, he basically confirmed that their performance may differ a lot than previously thought.
Giving the example of the pistol X12, the content creator revealed that upon observing it thoroughly, he found out that this particular weapon is nearly 40 percent more powerful and damaging in Call of Duty Warzone 2. On the contrary, it is not the case when using the same pistol in Multiplayer matches of Modern Warfare II. In his own words, there’s a “dramatic increase” in its performance when it comes to the battle royale games.
In case if anyone is not aware, somehow, X12 is the pistol one usually drops in with when starting a battle royale match in Warzone 2. Considering what TrueGameData has explained in his video, it looks like this weapon is much more stronger in this title than it is Modern Warfare II.

At 15 meters, the X12 deals 29 damage per shot in Multiplayer games of Call of Duty MWII. However, this value increases exponentially to a whopping 41 in Warzone 2. Keeping this newly found discovery in mind, it seems like there might be more weapons in both the games that might behave differently. However, that’s yet to be seen in the coming days.
