Ever since its release last year, Call of Duty Warzone 2 has been a very interesting game to look at. While the battle royale format has received mixed reactions, its DMZ mode is something that has actually attracted a lot of players’ attention. According to the recently published blog from the developers, Warzone 2 is set to go through a lot of transitions. Additionally, the DMZ mode will also have its own changes, to say the least.
To begin with, AI enemies will be tuned more appropriately in Call of Duty Warzone 2. Since the debut of DMZ, a lot of players have mentioned that the AIs in this mode are too strong and aggressive. Hence, the makers will reduce their intensity with Season 2. It will include spawn rates and locations, accuracy at range, and intelligence.
Furthermore, spawn locations for players themselves will be changed. Developers will try to make sure that they don’t spawn in unwanted areas where there are too many AI enemies. Moreover, faction missions will also get a complete reset. This means that players will be able to complete all the missions again from the beginning.
However, it also implies that those who have completed multiple missions so far will have their progress reach zero in Season 2. Media outlet CharlieIntel later confirmed this particular news in relation to the insured weapon slots.

Confirming earlier reports, with Season 02 launch on Feb 15, insured weapon slots in DMZ will also be reset — along with Faction Tiers, Missions Progress, and stored contraband and keys.

Last but not the least, there’s a brand new Exclusion Zone arriving in DMZ. It can be called a similar addition to Building 21 that was unveiled in the game last year in December 2022.
