Call of Duty Warzone 2 has turned out to be a juggernaut in terms of creating new records for Activision. The battle royale managed to amass over 25 million players in just five days after its awaited release last month. Plus, it has seemingly impressed many fans with fresh mechanics and changes. Along with that, it was supposed to receive another brand-new feature this month, but sadly it has now been delayed.

In case anyone missed to keep track of events, Call of Duty previously mentioned Combat Records. It was revealed by the makers a while ago. They had mentioned that Warzone 2 players will have it with December’s Season 1 Reloaded update. Unfortunately, that’s not the case anymore.

Call of Duty delays Combat Records feature in Warzone 2

While the new, mid-season update will soon make it to the platforms of all the COD players today, it won’t consist of all the previously promised perks. Yes, there will be new Operator skins, a revamped map in Shipment, and a Warzone Cup mode for Warzone 2. But a key addition that was highly expected to be there in the game won’t make its debut, at least not this year.

This feature is Combat Records, which is already present in Call of Duty Modern Warfare II multiplayer modes. However, there was no such option for Warzone 2 players who wanted to check their overall stats in the game.

Last week, though, it was revealed that Warzone 2 will also receive this feature. However, it was only supposed to track their progress starting from December 14 onwards and not from November 16 (Warzone 2 launch date). But recently, the official Twitter account of the game shared a sad update regarding Combat Records.

As one can see above, the tweet mentions that the feature has been delayed “due to the accuracy of the data population. However, we continue to work on this feature and the implementation of Leaderboards and will provide an update when available.”

This news was shared just before the anticipated update called Season 1 Reloaded. It simply means that fans will need to wait longer to check their stats in the battle royale title. Call of Duty Warzone 2 is now available across the globe as a free-to-play offering from Activision. It can be downloaded on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
