Ever since its awaited release last year in November 2022, Activision’s latest battle royale offering in the Call of Duty universe, Warzone 2, has surprisingly met with mixed reactions, to say the least. Yes, there are players who have liked the new approach taken by the makers in some areas but most of the fans are disappointed with the current free-to-play title.

Among the reasons for Warzone 2’s mixed reception are the changes it has brought to some of the most iconic elements that were present in the original Call of Duty Warzone. For example, the Gulag had a format of 1v1 for the players when they used to get captured during a match. However, with the ongoing battle royale installment, the developing team unexpectedly changed this setup to 2v2. Obviously, this overhaul wasn’t something a lot of hardcore fans were hoping for. And now, it looks like the makers are actually listening to them, once and for all.

Just a day ago, the official Twitter account of the franchise revealed the much-needed update on Season 2’s future for MWII as well as the battle royale.
