The Call of Duty universe is going through some interesting changes right now. With Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II taking a futuristic approach in their presentation, Activision is moving the title away from its original look. The novel approach is most evident when we look at the new operators.

In the past, Activision tried to include streamer operators like Nickmercs and TimTheTatman in the game. However, it did not go as they planned and they had to drop the operators. Now it looks like Activision is ready to gamble on some interesting operators from the music industry.

Nicki Minaj and many more to become operators in Call of Duty

Some recent leaks point toward music artists Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, and Snoop Dogg operators coming to Call of Duty. Surprisingly, Call of Duty did not take much time to respond and confirmed the new operators by stating Nicki Minaj is coming to Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II. They announced Minaj will be the franchise’s first female Operator with a self-named character.

This announcement has received mixed reactions from the fans. They are calling out Activision for changing the very essence of CoD. Activision recently brought in skins of football stars Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, and Neymar Jr. into the game. With now musical artists getting their operators, fans are wondering why CoD is becoming more and more like Fortnite.

While the music artist operators are getting mixed reactions from the fans, some fans are asking for the return of streamer operators. Fans are asking Activision to bring back Nickmercs and TimTheTatman operators along with some other streamers of CoD. Furthermore, they are asking CoD to be its own original game and not copy the model popularized by Fortnite.
