Call of Duty has established itself as a juggernaut in the video game industry. With its yearly iterations smashing records annually, Call of Duty is considered a household name in the gaming community. 2021’s Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: Vanguard is all set to release on November 5.
Activision and Sledgehammer games recently revealed to the community the roadmap showcasing what it has planned for the game’s life cycle. The game will feature more than a dozen multiplayer maps. A few of the maps will be remakes of classic maps featured in older Call of Duty titles. And one of the maps to appear in the game featured in the roadmap is Dome.

Call of Duty Vanguard: Dome Remake
While many players will remember this map as a map featured in Call of Duty: World at War’s multiplayer, the map is originally from the campaign mission ‘Downfall’. The mission has Private Dimitri Petrenko of the Soviet Red Army march on and decimate the remnants of the German forces in the heart of Berlin, the Reichstag.
Veterans of the community fondly remember the map for its asymmetry and verticality. The map offered a fun mix of both long as well as intense close-quarters combat.

For newer players uninformed on what the map has to offer, Sledgehammer provided a description as well.
“Dome: After heavy damage to the Reichstag Building in Berlin, Allied forces storm the bombed-out structure while Axis stand their grounds. This small-sized asymmetrical arena is a reimagining of Treyarch’s iconic World at War map.“
What is interesting to note is that the overview stated that the Dome featured in Vanguard is a re-imagination of the one featured in World at War. This could possibly mean that the map isn’t the same and there might be some changes in this version. Perhaps more pathways and lines of sight.
