Call of Duty Modern Warfare II might be the latest title in the action franchise but it will soon witness the end of its run later this year. Activision has now begun to hype up the next major installment, rumored to be called Modern Warfare III.

While everyone is aware of the fact that the new game will be a continuation of the existing entry, it will also introduce a mode featuring the undead. For the first time, a Modern Warfare offering is set to cross paths with the Zombies. Moreover, a recent leak has now reportedly revealed the very early look from the rumored mode that will include an upgraded version of an experience involving Zombies from 2020’s Black Ops Cold War.

Outbreak mode leaked ahead of official reveal of Call of Duty Modern Warfare III

Since the last few months, numerous speculations have indicated that MWIII will have a special mode with Zombies. Moreover, it’s expected to be an enhanced version of the famous Outbreak experience. The latter was part of Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War installment that arrived nearly three years ago. So far, the rumors had it that it will be named possibly Outbreak 2.0. But now, the very first look from the same has been unveiled by an insider on the internet.

Task Force Leaks Images is an account on Twitter that has ended up leaking a lot of CoD-based content. Just recently, it dropped an image while claiming that it was the First look at #MWIII outbreak. Unfortunately, the image got taken down immediately due to a DMCA strike by the original owner. It implies that the shared image was, indeed, from Modern Warfare III’s Outbreak 2.0 mode.

Basically, no one was able to have a look at the exclusive picture. But given the fact that it’s now been removed, it looks like the leak was authentic. However, one can expect to get even more such images going forward, thanks to MWIII’s internal developer alpha named HailStröm.

Currently, there’s no news regarding the official announcement for Call of Duty 2023. But Activision is expected to share something soon in the coming days.
