Call of Duty Modern Warfare II was released with the aim to win back the trust of gamers who were left disappointed with 2021’s Vanguard. However, it has only made the situation worse, thanks to the ‘unnecessary’ changes introduced by the makers.

While the game experience hasn’t been as horrible as Vanguard, it’s got enough negative reviews that have shown that fans are frustrated. Many of them are hoping to see an actual comeback from this iconic series in 2023 with the upcoming new installment from Activision. Unfortunately, it looks like they might be left disappointed this time too.

Call of Duty leaker indicates rumored Modern Warfare III won’t be great

Alaix is one of the most reputed scoopers on the internet, known for sharing crucial details when it comes to any CoD title. Just recently, the insider posted a tweet on their account, indicating that the upcoming game from Activision won’t be good at all.

The tweet from the insider had the name “MWIII” alongside an emoji which was a facing showing disinterest. In other words, Alaix wanted to imply that Call of Duty fans shouldn’t have high hopes for 2023 as well. And that the ongoing troubled situation isn’t going to change whatsoever – even with Modern Warfare III’s arrival.

Additionally, the scooper tried to explain that MWIII will feel very much like the present game. That is, the mechanics and overall experience could turn out to be worse than what they are right now.

Interestingly, this tweet has come after RalphsValve shared a similar take on Modern Warfare III, a few days ago. In a deleted tweet, the insider had claimed that the new game “is in a bad spot”. In case anyone missed keeping track of the news online, 2023’s installment is expected to be handled mainly by Sledgehammer. The latter is the same studio that worked on Vanguard.

Activision is yet to officially reveal MWIII with a teaser or poster. It’s rumored to be unveiled in the first week of August. Only time will tell whether the next premium CoD is a hit or a flop.
