Call Of Duty embarks on a new journey with the release of Black Ops: Cold War. Fans of the Black Ops franchise are hyped to dive back into their favorite series. After a not so great year with Modern Warfare, Call Of Duty is looking forward to a fresh start.

Fans of the series had high expectations before it was revealed. The Multiplayer reveal yesterday unleashed a ton of information about the game. Starting from new maps, game modes, and actual gameplay, everything was showcased.

Nonetheless, one thing was missing from the entire reveal. Fans expected to see the ‘Prestige’ leveling system make a comeback. Unfortunately, nothing of the sort was neither teased nor discussed.

Despite all the protests, it is highly unlikely that Treyarch will introduce Prestige in Cold War. This is primarily because a new ranking system will derail the present seasonal system that is connected to Warzone. Since Cold War will have Warzone, it is very unlikely that Prestige will make a comeback.

This is a disappointing revelation for many who expected to continue their grind after leveling out the current ranks. As Black Ops: Cold War will support Cross-Generation and Cross-Play, it will preserve every player’s current progression.

“At launch,?Black Ops Cold War?is set to include a brand-new leveling journey that will later connect to?Warzone, allowing players to unlock new functional content to be used in both titles.”

Therefore, it is official that a new system unlike anything seen before is going to be introduced into the COD universe. Fans can only expect that it will make the grind much more motivational. The seasonal ranking method at the moment just does not cut it.

Other than that, Cold War seems extremely promising. All eyes are on the beta release that is set to take place on October 8th for more information.
