From the time of its launch, MWII has mostly attracted unfavorable reactions. Fans have called out the devs for lack of content in the base game, compared to a free-to-play entry like Warzone 2. Lately, the situation has probably changed for good, after the release of Season 2. It has been received quite positively by a large number of players. But not all of them are very happy with what’s going on with the game, especially in terms of its competitive aspect.

Popular Call of Duty pro and 100 Thieves’ co-owner Jake “CouRage” Dunlop recently took to Twitter to express his frustration with Modern Warfare II.

He wrote that in his career of more than a decade while playing and doing commentary of matches, he’s never seen a mode as bad as the current title’s Control, featured in the Al Bagra Fortress map. In Jake’s words, “Al Bagra Fortress Control is the WORST game mode in Call of Duty history. It is utterly embarrassing that this is a game mode in the CDL.”

What has irked him more is the fact that devs have included Control in the aforementioned map which, according to him, is just too bad. However, Jake is not the only big Call of Duty pro player who has shared such thoughts on Multiplayer. Many other personalities have also revealed in recent weeks that the game needs more improvement overall.
