There’s finally a silver lining for the battle royale! Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been struggling in keeping the fans hooked for the last few months. While the Multiplayer content has been somewhat successful in entertaining players, it’s the free-to-play title Warzone that has failed miserably in impressing the community.
However, it seems like the days of sadness are momentarily over for the game. With the release of Season 4, it received a brand new map of Vondel for the Resurgence and DMZ modes. And coming as a surprise, this new region has been getting mostly positive reactions from many players. Following the reveal of Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, it’s the first time fans are truly enjoying a map in Warzone.

For those who are not aware, the map is based in the Netherlands. It’s the same country where one of the Campaign missions of Modern Warfare II took place. Vondel is a vibrant, colorful area that lies between Al Mazrah and Ashika Island in terms of its overall size. It had generated a lot of buzz online ahead of an official reveal, thanks to massive leaks from various insiders.
Now that it’s here, the hype seems to have been delivered for this map in Call of Duty Warzone. Following the launch of Season 4, media outlet CharlieIntel recently took to Twitter in order to find out the honest opinions of players on Vondel. It looks like the majority of them are loving it already!

Most of the fans praised the design of this map while even comparing it to a classic like Verdansk from the original Warzone. According to some, it’s the sign of a major comeback by the ongoing battle royale. “Probably the best map design since Verdansk and Rebirth . A little too much water and rooftops but can’t complain it’s fun”, wrote an individual.

I think Warzone is back, Vondel legit feels like Verdansk set in Western Europe.

Few others mentioned that the map flows greatly and remains consistent when it comes to gunfights. Several people wrote that it’s a breath of fresh after a long time.
Ngl I think it’s great. It flows really well and I feel like I’m constantly getting in gunfights on it. And if people are camped up on rooftops it’s pretty easy to find a way to navigate around and flank them or just get out if you need to. I’m a big fan, absolutely job well…
