From the SCAR to the ACR, Call of Duty always had overpowered weapons. These would often result in some of the most fun that players have had in years, despite being quite frustrating to come against. However, one thing that is also unusual is weapons and equipment, ones that often leave you wondering just what devs were thinking when they added them to the game.

One such piece of equipment is the Riot Shield. While most players avoid it, one managed to set its reputation straight after achieving a record in Modern Warfare II.

When it comes to Call of Duty records, most fans’ minds usually go to the nuke from MW2 or the M.O.A.B. from MW3. Both are incredible feats, taking immense skill and determination. However, what is even more impressive is getting a record with a piece of equipment that is difficult to use. That is exactly what this MWII player and Reddit user did. The player racked up 10,000 kills with the Riot Shield.

As the user elaborated, getting to 10,000 kills with the Riot Shield was no easy task. The Riot Shield was subject to a lot of changes over the life of Modern Warfare II. Starting from November 2022 after MWII’s release, it took the user nearly a year to achieve this remarkable feat. What makes it special is that despite the numerous changes the players faced, they persevered and got to 10,000. The recent update with movement was a big help, as the user went on to explain. Now the fanbase certainly knows one person who would not mind the Riot Shield being added to Modern Warfare III.

Fans are thoroughly impressed

Once fans saw what the player had accomplished, they had a newfound sense of respect for the user, being able to get 10,000 kills with the Riot Shield. Other players wished the user luck on their journey to fighting with the Riot Shield.
