Call of Duty has a history of creating some of the greatest multiplayer maps in existence. These maps were the pinnacle of design, particularly during the original Modern Warfare era. Maps such as Crash, Terminal, and Shoothouse have forever been immortalized among gamers.
There is one such map that made a comeback with the Modern Warfare reboot, Shipment. The reboot of a classic map that featured on multiple CoDs came back to the pleasure of fans. However, with its return on Modern Warfare II, fans aren’t exactly pleased with the way a match turns out on the map.

Fans expressed their rage at being spawn trapped on Shipment, after being stuck in a loop of dying immediately after respawning. Spawn trapping is not something new when it comes to CoD and is usually seen as a sign of dominating the other team. With this map, however, it simply comes down to the map.

The issue seems to be summed up by one Redditor. The problem did not come up in Shipment on 2019’s Modern Warfare. In Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty changed things up. The map got cluttered and more confusing to understand in the heat of the moment. Combine that with the overpowered tear gas grenades and you get spawn trapped.

The thing is Shipment, as a map, holds a lot of fond memories for CoD players. Similar to Rust, the map had some quality 1v1s. Moreover, it is featured in nearly every single Modern Warfare title. Seeing its current state feels disappointing. Fans hope that with Modern Warfare III coming this year, the map will see changes made to it.
