Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has been out for a good amount of time now. However, it’s still struggling to keep the majority of the players hooked due to the lack of an appealing gameplay experience. Since its worldwide debut, the latest installment has been accused of removing fan-favorite elements from previous installments.
But now things are looking to change, for the good. At least that’s what appears to be the case according to a new leak in relation to this year’s upcoming Call of Duty offering. In recent years, franchise lovers have complained about not having a crucial Multiplayer feature, Map Voting. Now, it’s about to come back in the next entry from Activision.

Twitter user and highly trusted insider el_bobberto recently posted a tweet. It contained a picture of what appears to be Map Voting from previous CoDs. But in the tweet, he also used the “MWIII” hashtag. In simple words, it implies that the Map Voting feature is set to return with Sledgehammer’s upcoming project.
If that happens, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will surely succeed in giving fans a great reason to enjoy Multiplayer games. The Map Voting feature determines which map is more popular among the users. Based on their preference, they can choose a certain map before entering an online match. The one option that gets the most votes from players ends up being the map for a given match.

Treyarch’s Black Ops Cold War, from 2020, was the last CoD installment to have Map Voting. After that, games like Vanguard and the ongoing entry Modern Warfare II ended up skipping this feature altogether.
