Similar to its predecessors, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II has introduced an array of memorable characters in the franchise. While the presence of faces like Ghost, Farah, and Alejandro pleased the fans, antagonists like Valeria and Phillip Graves also caught their attention.

Speaking of Graves, he quickly emerged as one of the most popular characters from MWII’s Campaign last year. Thanks to a charismatic personality, he has managed to win over a lot of gamers. The twist he brought to the story was a shocking moment for many. They got to witness his villainous side after he was seen fighting together with the members of Task Force 141. Unfortunately, Graves ended up dying towards the climax of the story. But that wasn’t the case at all. He’s very much alive and could make his comeback soon!

In case anyone missed keeping track of events, the makers published a blog in 2023 ahead of the release of Season 2. The blog contained details for a new map called Ashika Island while giving the players crucial intel about it. Interestingly though, there was a section in the blog that mentioned the presence of Shadow Company on this island.

The Shadow Company was led by none other than Phillip Graves in the single-player Campaign of Call of Duty Modern Warfare II. Coming back to the blog, then it also emphasized someone (REDACTED) who was leading the group on Ashika Island.

This means it will keep receiving content in the future for the players to unearth more secrets connecting to the Campaign of MWII. A lot of rumors so far have indicated that Graves will come back probably in this year’s brand-new premium installment. It’s expected to be a continuation of the ongoing title’s narrative.

However, witnessing the return of Graves in the upcoming Season 4 might turn out more meaningful, given the fact that there’s already a hold of Shadow Company members on Ashika Island. And having the character of Graves will surely give them the chance to rise once again. Although it’s just a theory, he could be revealed as a Battle Pass Operator for Season 4. That will be an amazing decision by the devs as fans will be interested in unlocking him for Multiplayer and Warzone 2.
